Description

Web Content Specialist/Graphic Artist

  • Develop and maintain web pages and input content into the CMS (Content Management System), Social Media Sites (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.) and performs quality assurance of the content and corresponding CMS templates.
  • Coordinate with communications team for approved content.
  • Layout/graphic design for all print media and publications (fact sheets, curriculums, pamphlets, brochures, magazines, etc.)
  • Work with SNAP-Ed team to develop script/staging for web-based lessons.
  • Adhere to branding guidelines to support marketing position and messaging.
  • Adhere to maintenance plans/timelines, project plans/timelines.
  • Completes pre and post release quality assurance, ensuring final pages published reflect legally approved content.
  • Interfaces with cross-functional team members, including in-house creative production team, web development and category managers as needed.
  • Interacts with communications staff to collaborate on various projects, ensuring deadlines are met and institutional messages and themes are cohesive.
  • Works closely with members of other areas and communication /technology teams to resolve CMS related technical issues.
  • Gather user feedback for website improvement and enhancements.
  • Gather and research information that enhances the value of the site
  • Write, edit, and develop web site content.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications

    Minimal Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism and/or computer science is required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience CMS, JavaScript, Social marketing, CSS, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop) HTML and XML, WordPress and Google Analytics.
  • Working knowledge of and the experience in the policy and regulatory environment of information security, written and oral communications skills desired.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills using both proactive and reactive methodologies on a daily-basis to provide seamless system availability.
  • Highly goal oriented providing excellent results with little oversight and direction.
  • Experience in various OS to include the following: Windows 7,and higher, MS Office 2013 or higher products and Adobe Creative Suite-CS 6 or higher.
  • The ability to work independently, self motivating with the ability to adequately communicate (orally/written) solutions to management rather than problems.
